G-WOW: Napa Valley Deep Dive

This year has been exciting for many reasons. First of all, It’s not 2020 anymore, and we can all be super thankful for that! Secondly, I launched my Great Wine Made Simple virtual wine course, which has been so much fun each week, talking and educating about my favorite topic: wine.

Another thing to celebrate this year is my upcoming Great Wines of the World, or as I like to say “G-WOW!”, series—which are deep dive explorations into iconic wine regions and styles focusing on a new wine region in each class.

Buckle up and get ready to say, “Gee, WOW!”, as I bring you to Champagne, Napa Valley, and Bordeaux in the first three sessions. And don’t worry… I plan on adding more sessions soon so you can scratch that travel itch. We could all use a little armchair travel inspiration these days, and why not “travel” to some of your favorite spots with a glass (or two) of wine in hand?

Coming up on Saturday, March 20

We’ll be exploring the place I’ve called home for more than a decade – Napa Valley! It is truly a special place, and not just because it’s my home terroir. The Mediterranean climate, fascinating geology and stunning wines deserve much more study than a rubber-stamp point score can communicate. We’ll explore the beautiful scenery and topography, food and wine culture, along with the hidden diversity of grapes, winemaking, AVAs and more!

What I’m most excited about for this class is…the wines! To procure the very best for all the classes, I had personal conversations with winemakers and importers to get special releases of some unbelievable wines.

Check out the Napa Valley list:
2018 Darioush Viognier
2017 Hyde de Villaine Chardonnay
2017 Saintsbury “Lee Vineyard” Pinot Noir
2015 Ramey Cabernet Sauvignon
2015 Heritance Beckstoffer George III Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Are you thirsty yet? I hope you’ll join me!
