Hugel Riesling Jubilee, Alsace, France

This wine's stony minerality, lush Asian pear and peach fruit, tender texture and incredible length blew me away.  Proof positive that real depth in a white is not about oak, it's about the soil.  Pair with smoked pork, hot-smoked salmon or steamed mussels.
